PLAN & ORGANIZE!!!
Make a budget for your daily meals the same way you would for your money. At the end of the week, plan all your meals for the next week. Make your grocery list based on the meals that you chose. This should help you to stick to your meal plan and also reduce food waste in your house. If you have a super busy day, plan to have something quick, but still nutritious like a crockpot meal. If you have pre-planned, you will be less likely to make poor choices!
WEIGH-INS!!!
Weigh yourself at the same time of day each week. First thing in the morning wearing no clothing is recommended since you haven't done anything yet that might affect those numbers - it helps with consistency!
EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!!!
No matter how small of an effort or short amount of time, every bit of exercise helps. Park in the spot farthest away from the doors, take the stairs instead of the elevator, even standing instead of sitting is better. If you are on the phone, walk while you talk - just laps around your living room are sufficient. Put some music on while you are doing things like house cleaning or cooking - a good song can make you move! Make playtime with your kids an active event for yourself - games like "Simon Says" or activity songs like "Head and Shoulders" will get you moving indoors if it's too cold to go out and play. If you're at work, take short walks during breaks, and do stairs at lunch.
10 000 STEPS PER DAY!!!
It is recommended that we take a minimum of 10 000 steps each day just to MAINTAIN our current weight. You can get a pedometer for less than $10 at Walmart, and it can really be a great eye opener as to how many steps you actually take in your average day. You should be aiming for 12 000 - 15 000 for weight loss!
PORTION CONTROL!!!
Your plate should be half filled with non-starchy vegetables, 1 quarter filled with a starch and 1 quarter filled with protein. When I say filled, I don't mean a heaping mound of food, 1 portion is roughly the size of your fist. If you're really craving something that isn't the best choice, don't deny yourself, but try to only have a small amount - just enough to curb the craving. You're making a lifestyle change here, not going on a temporary diet, so you need to find ways to adjust your habits so they don't fight against your new healthy lifestyle. The surest way to fail is to look at this as a temporary measure and think that after the 12 weeks is up, you can go back to eating copious amounts of the crappy foods again.
WATER GOALS!!!
Set a daily water intake goal for yourself.
Click here to see a water intake calculator. You can use this daily to figure out what your water intake should be based on the exercise you plan to do. Water is very important for weightloss. If you tell yourself that you need to drink your water goal first and don't allow yourself juice or soda until you're finished, you will probably find that your sugar intake from juice or soda will come down a lot and you will eat less because you will be more full. You'll also pee a lot.

At Stephanie's party, she was talking about how grateful she was for BL and she even mentioned that she's fallen in love.....my money's on that she fell in love with Sam!!! I've been thinking it since the whole Subway lunch trip when he forgot his lunch. Plus they showed Koli and how he totally thought she was playing a game, yet, for as close as Sam and Koli are, they never showed Sam saying anything. They hugged at the end of the weigh in and they were holding hands under the elimination table. That could have been totally innocent and just showing they each knowthe feeling since they were both up for elimination, but I just got a hunch.
BTW, I do not think she threw that weigh in when she lost 2 lbs. I mean, why would she throw a weigh in that puts a member of her team up for elimination?

Well I didn't lose as much as I had originally hoped to this round. But I am okay with that. I had a lot of fun with the various challenges and any loss is better than none. Here are my final pics:


Oh, and I guess these pics can double as my 17 week belly shots.

There's my good reason for not losing like I had hoped to.

I was so sad for O'Neal! He had a rough enough week with the injured knee and the 1 lb disadvantage, but then to lose his brother on top of all of that...I was in tears. I was glad that he stayed above the yellow line and that Koli opted to keep Sunshine on the ranch for O'Neal.

I still don't have Jessica24's weigh-in. Normally our deadline is 4PM, but we give contestants additional time to get their weigh-ins submitted before they are disqualified. Since this is the final weigh-in, I'm going to give Jessica until midnight MST tonight to submit her weight. If I get it before then, I will post the results ASAP, but at the very least they will be posted tomorrow morning.
